My practice sits at the intersection of composition, sound design and cultural production. I work with a consistent interest in how sound carries meaning across contexts, whether through original work, commissioned composition or reinterpretation of existing material. I'm applying to the MA to develop this practice with depth and intention, and to push it into territory I haven't yet been able to reach independently.

School of Digital Arts Premiere Soundtrack (2018)
Composer — commissioned soundtrack
Composed for the official premiere of the School of Digital Arts at Manchester Metropolitan University. A contextual sound work designed to shape atmosphere and perception within a specific visual and institutional setting. My first professional commission as a sound designer.
Fazıl Say — İnsan İnsan (Inner B. 'humantomachine' Edit, 2017)
Reinterpretation — conceptual transformation
A transformation of Fazıl Say's İnsan İnsan, a piece whose title translates as Human Human, into a reconstructed synthetic environment. The subtitle humantomachine describes the central idea: taking emotionally loaded human expression and reframing its meaning through texture and process.
Ayfer Vardar — Turnam Gidersen Mardin'e (Inner B. Edit, 2017)
Reinterpretation — cultural translation
A recontextualisation of a traditional Anatolian folk piece into a contemporary electronic space. The work explores the tension between cultural memory and modernity, and how sound carries meaning across different contexts. Less a remix, more a conversation with source material.
Inner B. — Hopeful Minds (NNRB 001, 2021)
Composer / Producer — original EP
Lead track from my debut EP, premiered on Les Yeux Orange and mastered by Lopazz. An original composition that uses time and gradual layering as narrative tools. The EP was an attempt to bring the cultural spectrum of Manchester and Istanbul into one imaginary sonic space.
Untitled (2026)
Composer / Producer — unreleased
A piece built around off-beat rhythmic structures, layered textures and spatial depth. The work draws on sampling, combining it with a production approach rooted in UK garage to create an evolving atmosphere where rhythm and texture operate together rather than separately. An exploration of how sound design thinking can sit within and reshape a musical framework.
